IP Television

Whilst still very new in terms of commercial acceptability, the delivery over a resort IP network of television programmes and movies will one day be commonplace.

IP Television (IPTV) allows guests the freedom to begin watching movies when they wish to and to pause, fast forward or rewind scenes.  It also caters for interactive features about the resort and nearby attractions and for the delivery of information feeds, such as weather forecasts, flight information and stock quotes.

As more high definition (HD) television and movie content becomes available guests at high-end resorts will wish to enjoy the clarity of images they will by then be used to receiving in their homes.

You may not see the value of deploying IPTV now, but in building a new resort or refurbishing an existing facility it will be wise to lay the right foundations to support it.
